LONDON — Former "American Idol" musician Adam Lambert is becoming a member of landmark rock band Queen for one show this summer, at Sonisphere 2012.
Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor verified Tuesday that the American singer-songwriter will execute words for the group's title set on the second day of the Sonisphere 2012 mountain celebration. The show arises July 7 at Knebworth Park in Stevenage, north of London.
Lambert, 30, has conducted with Queen before. Last year he conducted "We Are the Champions" on the U.S. actuality present that made his name and then last Nov he conducted an eight-minute set at the MTV Europe Awards to celebrate Queen's Global Icon Award.
Freddie Mercury's ultimate show with Queen also took position at Knebworth, in Aug 1986.
