India’s Bajaj Introduces new ultra-low-cost car

NEW DELHI: Native indian producer Bajaj Auto revealed an ultra-low-cost car on Tuesday, its first venture into the four-wheel industry, pestering the car as a option to city pollution and traffic jam.


The team shown the stream-lined “RE60” at a demonstration in New Delhi, distressing the vehicle's high petrol overall performance and low co2 pollutants, but it did not launch a price tag.


“At Bajaj Auto, we believe the people of the earth are entitled to much better, much quicker,” said Rajiv Bajaj, md of the team which is best known for its motorcycles and three-wheelers.


The 200cc car –set to get into the same section of industry place as the globe's most affordable car, the Indian-made Tata New ipod nano – will do 35 kilometer per liter of petrol and produces just 60 g of co2 per km.


Bajaj said that the car's pollutants were “typically half of what the little vehicles currently produce in our industry.”

The main clients focused are individuals of three-wheeled motor-rickshaws, but also anyone else who

“wanted to take it home” once it goes available some time this season, Bajaj said.

The small four-seater car will do a top rate of 70 kilometer an time and weighs just 400 kilogrammes, with Baja distressing that it had been developed particularly for city individuals.

India has become a center of little car design, technological innovation and generation, with need for cheaply-made vehicles flourishing as large numbers obtain middle-class position each season.


The Tata New ipod nano was released last year and costs as little as 140,880 rupees for the no-frills design.

Earlier this season, Bajaj empty a combined project with France’s Renault and its Japanese lover Car to create a low-cost car.
