Spain and Argentina in Davis Cup final

Novak Djokovic is not in trouble behind last Sunday, Rafael Nadal means you do not have to face his main rival in Davis Cup finals.
Djokovic Serbia tried to help to stage a comeback in their semifinal against Argentina, despite a persistent back problem, but had to quit while trailing 7-6 (5), 3-0 Juan Martin Del Potro. "I'm disappointed in this way to end this way," said Djokovic. "My condition was 60 percent of what I had expected."
Argentina ended up winning 3-2 after Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia had the final without meaning, when Juan Monaco withdrew after losing the first set 6-2. Spain finished 4-1 after the victory, Fernando Verdasco beat Richard Gasquet in the final.
Djokovic did not play at all on Friday, pulling out of opening singles because of his back had not recovered enough from an injury suffered during Monday's U.S. Open final victory of Nadal.
But in Serbia after going 2-1 on the final day, the top-ranked of Serbia has decided to try it. Instead, he fell to the ground by back pain while trying to return to the fore during the final game in the second third.
"I am sad for him and wish him a speedy recovery," said Del Potro. "It has everything to maintain the position No. 1."
It looks like damage is the only thing that can stop Djokovic this year. He entered the weekend with a 64-2 record, won three major tournaments. One of the two losses came when he had to retire with a sore shoulder against Andy Murray in Cincinnati last last month.
The only player who beat Djokovic, Roger Federer in the semifinals of French Open. Nadal certainly has not been able to lose his six final against Serbia in 2011. The Spaniard said this week that he preferred to face Argentina on Serbia in the final.
After an impressive victory over Richard Gasquet on Friday, Nadal dominated the 10.-ranked Tsonga Arena in Cordoba to give guests a chance at a third title in four years.
"Put simply, Rafa was too good this weekend," said Tsonga. "And 'the best clay court player ever, I think he is virtually unbeatable on this surface, and today we do not create an exception."
Nadal improved to 14-0 on clay in Davis Cup and 18-1 overall, his only loss coming in its infancy. Nadal has already won three Davis Cup, and will lead Spain in its sixth final since 2000 and eighth overall.
"You would think that might be easier to win, but not," said Nadal. "Thanks to the excellent relationships within the team, the Spanish players were on the United keep winning."
Final will be held in Spain, Madrid and Valencia reportedly interested in hosting the event.

Russia met to Brazil 2-1 after beating Mikhail Youzhny drop Thomaz Bellucci 2-6, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4, 14-12 in a marathon five hours in the first singles. Dmitry Tursunov and then won the decisive match by Ricardo Mello 6-1, 7-6 (5), 2-6, 6-3.
Switzerland's Roger Federer won his place in the World Group after Stanislas Wawrinka needed only four minutes Monday to complete a 4-6, 6-4, 6-7 (7), 6-4, 6-3 against Australian Lleyton Hewitt .
Wawrinka led 5-3 in the fifth set Sunday when darkness suspended the game after 3 hours, 58 minutes.
On Sunday, Roger Federer defeated Bernard Tomic 6-2, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 to take in Switzerland, 2-2, after Australia won twice on Saturday and the teams split singles debuts Friday.
Australia, which won the Davis Cup 23 times, second only to the 32 U.S. securities, is celebrating its fifth year of the start of the competition
