LOS ANGELES - NBC shifted to enhance its comedy collection Monday, selecting up three humor-oriented tasks such as the new venture from Roseanne Barr, an individual well known with the pickups shows to TheWrap.
"Downwardly Mobile," which recognizes Barr coming back again to the small display after the termination of her Life-time actuality show "Roseanne's Crazy," is a multi-camera spontaneity that celebrities Barr as the owner of a mobile-home playground who functions as a surrogate mom to the economically secured house entrepreneurs of the playground.
Eric Gilliland, from Barr's past blue-collar show "Roseanne," will create and executive-produce, as will Barr. (The comedienne's associate, John Argent, is all on panel to executive-produce. Last Millennium Fox Tv is generating.
"Go On," meanwhile, is a single-camera spontaneity from former "Friends" professional creator Scott Silveri, who will create and executive-produce the venture. The head, which follows a sportscaster who's trying to get over a loss and discovers unanticipated relaxation from the other associates of his group-therapy periods. Worldwide Tv is generating.
The third comedy, "Animal Kingdom," comes from "The Hangover Part II" creator Scot Armstrong, among others, and follows "a 'House'-like doctor, who really likes creatures but usually cannot stand their entrepreneurs." Remedy is executive-producing, along with Ravi Nandan. Brian Gatewood and Alex Tanaka (both of "The Sitter") will create as well as executive-produce.
