Joe Mauer, perhaps Minnesota's most qualified bachelor's, on Saturday became interested to other Cretin-Derham Area scholar Maddie Bisanz. Mauer, 28, the Twin babies catcher, offered to Bisanz, a St. Paul nurse, in Sanibel, Fla.
"A location that is unique to both of us," Mauer said Sunday from California. "We couldn't be more happy, and we're both really fired up."

"I was wanting for a yes, and she said yes," Mauer said when he offered. "I'm getting to wed my best companion."
