Michelle right to pay attention to student diet

Mrs. Administration needs to be recommended for hinting for quality, wholesome education lunchtime applications. With kids and type 2 being diabetic in record numbers in our country's schoolchildren, Obama is a voice of reason in a mixed-up, budget-cutting educational environment.

What’s wrong with Administration hinting to universities that meals such as pizzas, sausages, meals heavy with substantial salt, cake and ice cream be restricted in our school’s cafeterias? These are the kind of meals provided over and over in our universities that promote the types of diseases associated with a high-fat, high-sodium, low-fiber diet.

Our country's public universities have a difficult job in providing education lunches; nutrient-dense meals are expensive and I do not see the private sector putting additional cash into education lunchtime programs; actually the authorities is not either. The prevailing approach is that kids will not choose wholesome meals, but research has not shown this, actually the opposite is true.

Eliminating pizzas, sausages, chicken blocks and flavored take advantage of will go a long way in reducing kids and type 2 being diabetic. Schools can get into the grant-writing business and strongly practice funds that offer rich, nutrient-dense meals for education meals. Parents can write and practice such funds.

Asking our authorities to offer quality meals is not wiping out our freedom of choice and not a simple attack on our country's kids. It is actually, the right thing to do.
