India tests short-range missile

India successfully tested a short-range nuclear-capable missile on Monday, the Ministry of Defence.
The Prithvi missile was fired from a test range in Chandipur in Orissa, hitting its target in the Bay of Bengal with great precision, said the spokesman of the Defense Department N. Ao.
The surface area of ​​missile has a range of 220 miles (350 kilometers) and can carry a warhead of up to 1,100 pounds (500 kilograms).
"The flight of Prithvi missile test met all objectives of the mission was the launch of a perfect book," Ao said.
The army already installed Prithvi missiles, but they regularly test the fire to improve their accuracy and speed. India is also developing other missiles, including medium-range Agni and Akash missiles, anti-tank Nag missile Dhanush ship-and supersonic missile Brahmos, developed in cooperation with Russia.
