"WebOS is the only foundation developed from the earth up to be cellular, cloud-connected and scalable," recently-installed HP primary Meg Whitman said in a report. "By adding this imagination, HP unleashes the imagination of the free group to succeed a new technology of programs and gadgets."
HP said it wants the free group to help it determine a rent for WebOS, and included that it "will lead ENYO, the application structure for WebOS, to the group in the long run along with a strategy for the other elements of the customer space".
WebOS was actually published 2009 by Hand as a replace the old Hand OS. As a cellular phone operating-system, it was unique and a little profitable — enough so to fast three years of Pre models. However, it did not make a considerable reduction in the good results of the Apple's iPhone or the fast increase of Google Managing program mobile phone.
HP, which was sometimes under the stewardship of Level Hurd, purchased Hand truly, mostly for the OS. HP said sometimes that it desired to use WebOS in laptop and pills, as well as cellular phone gadgets. Hurd even encouraged it could be used to energy touchscreen technology models.
By beginning 2011, Hurd had been changed by Leo Apotheker, who desired to put WebOS into PCs with Windows. By May, Apotheker's period was out of balance, and HP determined to wipe out off its WebOS elements items.
Apotheker himself was gone within little more than monthly, with Whitman his heir. There were therefore reviews that HP was trying to provide off the OS, but this indicates no-one bit. The winding-down of the WebOS model has also hit HP's financials.
