Octavia Spencer Wins Oscar : The Help

LOS ANGELES — Octavia Spencer motivated her powerful personality in "The Help," but the celebrity changed into a softy Sunday as she recognized an Oscar for the part.


"Oh, thank you," a tearful Spencer said as many in the viewers increased to their toes. She indicated admiration to her household, her co-workers from "The Help" and her ancient "state of Alabama" as she obtained the best assisting celebrity prize.
