Iran Arrests 12 'spies From The CIA "to Target Nuclear Plans

Parviz Sorour, a prominent legislator, told military officials focused on Iran and its nuclear program.
He said they were operating in cooperation with the Israeli Mossad and other regional organizations.
The United States and its allies suspect Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons program, Tehran denies the charge.
Mr. Sorour, a member of the powerful National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, does not give the nationality of the alleged agents, or when they were arrested.
"The United States and the Zionist regime intelligence devices were trying to use a regional intelligence agencies, both inside and outside Iran, in order to keep up with our powerful blow," he was quoted as saying .
"Fortunately, these measures have failed due to the swift action by officials of the Intelligence Ministry," said Sorour.
Spy Ring
The Iranian statement follows reports in the United States to Lebanon's Hezbollah has unraveled a spy for the CIA in the militant Shiite organization. Hezbollah has close ties with Iran.
Reports quoting U.S. intelligence officials emerged this week that seem to suggest that a number of American spies had been exposed and that their lives were in danger in Lebanon.
Lebanon said Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadlallah reports were true. "Lebanese intelligence defeat of U.S. and Israeli intelligence in what is now known as the intelligence war," he told AFP.
In June the group's leader, Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, said on television that he had discovered at least two CIA spies had infiltrated the ranks of the organization.
Although the U.S. Embassy Beirut at first said there was no substance to these charges, the Associated Press reports that U.S. officials Nasrallah later admitted that he had told the truth.
In May, Iran said it had arrested 30 people after breaking a spy ring of the CIA.
He said the network had operated outside the U.S. diplomatic missions in Malaysia, Turkey and United Arab Emirates to recruit Iranians as spies
