UCLA Basketball: Reeves Nelson, Once Again, Play Against Chaminade

UCLA coach Ben Howland restored Reeves Nelson, Wednesday, welcomed the young volatile before the team after a one-game suspension for behavior problems.
Nelson is set to continue the practice with the team on Thursday and travel to Hawaii and play in Maui Invitational, which begins and Bruins (0-2) on Monday, and the game against Chaminade (3-0).
"Reeves understands that his replacement is subject to its ability to meet the high standards we have set for basketball players of all men of UCLA," Howland said in a statement. "He told me at the last meeting [Wednesday] wants to be a better person and a better teammate and move on, because I feel I must give you this opportunity."
Nelson said in a statement that he had confessed that "corrections must be made, and I am grateful to Coach Howland and I have the opportunity to improve and is currently working on a positive force for our team."
Nelson had 13 points and eight rebounds, and the season-opening loss to UCLA, Loyola Marymount, during which he tuned the coach during the timeout huddles, and sulking in the field, when things went bad for the Bruins.
