Matt Schaub Injured Out Of Season

Joby Branion, Schaub agent, did not immediately return a phone message or email.
"He has a foot injury more, he plans to leave for some time," Kubiak said. "But we will do our best to do it properly assessed and see if you can get back on the football field.
"It's disappointing," said Kubiak, "but we will work and try to do the right thing for Matt."
The Texans (7-3) have won four straight games and share best record in the AFC with Pittsburgh ahead of their bye week. Kubiak said the sixth year veteran Matt Leinart will start in Jacksonville on November 27.
"It's something we have to deal with the" star receiver Andre Johnson said Monday night. "Fortunately, Matt was going to lose all season. Do not know exactly what it is, but we know he will have to spend some time. We'll just gather around Matt Leinart, and I think it's going to go out and do a great job. "
Johnson has missed six games with a right thigh injury but hopes to return to play Jacksonville. He was on the sideline Sunday and said Schaub was "limping a little," but said it was OK.
"To come in and then, as now," said Johnson, "It was like,` Wow. 'Now, you hear rumors that it is possible he could miss the rest of the season and things like that. So it's like where did all this come from? "
Leinart, the 2004 Heisman Trophy winner for Southern California, re-signed with the Texans in the offseason after not taking a snap in 2010. He declined other offers to return to Houston because he was comfortable with Kubiak and his offensive system.
Houston ranks eighth in total offense this season (396.2 yards per game).
"Your time will come, and you must be recognized when the opportunity arises," said Leinart. "They know I work hard and I study hard and I am well prepared. We will take this game and go through the game and I do not think this will change. "
Leinart led Southern Cal national championship game after 05 seasons and went 37-2 2004 is as a starter in college.
He was drafted 10th General of Arizona in 2006 and appeared in 12 games as a rookie under coach Dennis Green, has thrown 11 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He broke his collarbone in the fifth game of next season, Kurt Warner took over and Leinart was mostly a spectator during the 2 1 / 2 year contract.
Leinart spoke openly in training camp to win a new job to start. Now I understand, but not in the circumstances he wanted.
"I'm depressed. My heart is with him," said Leinart. "But you know, and everybody knows that in this profession, things happen, and the boy next door has intensified. And 'my job and my responsibility.
"This is what I always wanted for a long time, and that what I've done a lot of work every day, and ready every day," he said. "It 'a great opportunity. I'm just excited for the opportunity."
Kubiak Leinart increased repetitions in practice and is sure Leinart is ready.
"He played a great football league, has played a great game of college football," Kubiak said. "Matt has been around. The key to the team rallies around him, and playing good team. Matt should not go to win the game, the team must go to win the game. I gather around him and make him ready to go . "
Schaub, acquired in a trade with Atlanta in March 2007, has started every game in Houston since the beginning of the 2009 season. Kubiak would not say if Schaub would miss the rest of the year.
"There are many things reported," Kubiak said. "It will be a whole bunch this week and then the evaluation process will continue."
Schaub joined the growing list of stars in Houston with key injuries this season.
In addition to Johnson, Mario Williams sacks leader was lost for the season with a torn chest muscle in a loss to Oakland on October 9, running back Arian Foster has lost two of three games with a knee tend to left, and safety Danieal Manning has missed three games after fracturing his left fibula.
In a way, the Texans managed to stay the course of their participation in the playoffs first. Houston has not been lower in a game in four weeks and earned an average of 22.5 points during this period.
Johnson said that Texans have experienced adversity as the seasons, they understand how to deal with today.
"Before, when we had injuries that always hurts us," said Johnson. "Everything we have experienced as a team, you learn things and all the obstacles that we have lived.
"The loss of our quarterback, I always feel very comfortable, I still feel very positive about it. We will take over, man. Everyone wants to raise their game and we will continue in the right direction. "
The Texans have the NFL's No. 1 defense (269.7 yards per game), and the third offense, the better rushing (158.1 yards per game), Foster and Tate with two ranking among the top 10.
"We're going to try it even more now, so it will appeal to everyone to do," Kubiak said. "We are very confident now in what we do and we just keep our heads high and move on
