The ISP Must Reveal The Limitations

WatchDog British Telecommunications Ofcom said service providers (ISPs) to be more open traffic bottlenecks on their networks.
The issue is traffic management, who said that Ofcom is used to treat congestion on the Internet. He said that although it may be beneficial at certain times, for example, by providing a preferred route for calls to emergency services, can also be controversial.
Because of these conflicts, which can be seen, rather than service providers offer a service to Internet sites, I do not like, Ofcom said it was open to the ISP traffic management policies.
"It can be a source of concern, for example, is used by competing service providers to target services in a way that is not visible to consumers," said the statement of Ofcom.
"While the service providers for some information to consumers about their use of traffic management, Ofcom considers that currently does not go far enough, and should be made clearer and easier to understand."
The controller has warned that if your ISP to make changes to your car, you have to do some 'for yourself.
Ofcom says that it expects the service to provide users with basic information about the services and external influences on them. It is recommended that service providers tell their customers what kind of speeds that are likely to get and tell them what influences their traffic management systems.
This should include information about this time of day traffic management could be used and the type of impact this could have all the applications that users choose to run.
"The Internet plays an important role in the lives of citizens, consumers and industry. We now expect and depend on access to content and services it has to offer," said CEO of Ofcom, Ed Richards.
"How can an ISP to control access to the Internet affects us all, and it is important that we are able to understand how access can be limited. Ofcom is now looking for service providers to ensure that clear information is available, and consider action, if not improved. " Μ
